Magi Art Show 2016
These two paintings, and perhaps more, are all framed and ready
for the 34 th Annual Morehead Art Guild Show that takes place in
the Carl Perkins Center in Morehead, Kentucky. This show is
always an interesting day! Seeing great art and meeting the
artists who create these outstanding paintings is a unique
opportunity. Not only will you view fine art, both professional and
non-professional, but there is photography. The show is not
limited to just these two divisions. You will find computer/digital
art, folk art, textile art, and three dimensional art. It’s a wonderful
opportunity to see a variety of work in the art world.
Another interesting part of this show is that demonstrations take
place throughout the day. These are always very informative to
watch and a great place for new ideas and ways to create art.
Everyone loves to win, and drawings for door prizes will be
awarded to participating artist throughout the day.
You certainly don’t have to be a participating artist to enjoy this
day. The Magi welcomes anyone interested in the visual arts to
come and enjoy this special event. Perhaps you don’t paint but
you can enjoy seeing and hearing about art on this day. Live
music from MSU’s Center for Traditional Music begins at 2:00.
Also each person that attends will be able to purchase art
because many of the artists will have their work for sale. Local
businesses have the opportunity to purchase as well.
This Saturday is a day for everyone. Whether you are an artist, a
music lover, or a shopper for the holidays, it’s a day that anyone
can enjoy. So be sure to mark your calendar and come to the Carl
Perkins Center located on Divide Hill in Morehead, Kentucky on
Nov.12, from noon until 4:00.
